Stress Points- Connection issue between cable and the other monitor. Possibly caused by sweat. A Google search reveals it is a common issue. Cleaning the connecting surfaces did not help.
Positive Remarks- I sent the headphones to Shure service. They first dismissed my claims as the plastic bands that wrap behind ear had signs of cracks. I responded that the cracks in the cover have appeared from bending then around ear as designed, and it has nothing to do with the connection issue as the cabling was fine inside inside the plastic. Shure provided a new cable after that to me.
