Once component is replaced, will work fine for 10+ years of repeated use, some lasting 20+ before needing replacement.

    Non-Sealed bottom brackets can be often be "refreshed" with new ball bearings. Even if races are pitted new ball bearings and liberal application of grease can even out uneven wear patterns. The method does have limits but it can significantly extend the lifespan of the bottom bracket.
